GESG partnered with Values in Action, a foundation focused on building community and kindness, providing skills training, and teaching a foundation of respect, caring, and values-based decision-making. One of their core programs is VIA Workforce Training, which brings career readiness opportunities to juniors and seniors in high school.
Rather than focusing solely on “hard” or technical skills, VIA Workforce Training also provides students with soft skills that will serve them in any career path, such as responsibility, integrity, resiliency, collaboration, and ethics. As part of the program, students meet with mentors from partner employers, such as GESG. The students learned more about what we do, what potential careers might look like, and the values to focus on to set themselves up for success in college, first jobs, and beyond!
