Role Summary

As Fulfillment Manager, you oversee order processing, picking, packing, and shipping operations to ensure accurate and timely delivery. You manage staff, optimize workflows, and coordinate with other departments to meet customer expectations and support business growth. Your role is central to maintaining supply chain efficiency.

Required Education, Certifications, and Experience

Education:

Bachelor’s degree preferred, supply chain or business related.

Certifications:

  • Certified in Planning and Inventory Management (CPIM – APICS)
  • Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)
  • Certified Fulfillment Professional (CFP – IWLA)
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt
  • Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) Certification
  • OSHA 30-Hour General Industry Certification

Experience:

5 plus years in warehouse or fulfillment roles.
Experience managing fulfillment teams.
Familiarity with WMS and fulfillment technologies.

7:00 AM- You start by reviewing order backlog and shipping schedules. A sudden spike in orders from a major customer requires you to quickly adjust staffing and prioritize resources to prevent delays while maintaining accuracy and quality standards.


8:00 AM- You lead a team meeting to communicate priorities, review safety protocols, and address any operational challenges. Clear directives and motivation help your team handle the workload efficiently and reduce errors.


930 AM- You monitor fulfillment operations via real-time dashboards, identifying bottlenecks in picking or packing. You intervene to reallocate resources, resolve issues, or escalate problems that could impact shipment deadlines.


11:00 AM- You coordinate with inventory control and shipping departments to ensure product availability and smooth transfer to carriers. Strong collaboration reduces errors and supports on-time deliveries.


12:30 PM- Lunch is a quick break often interrupted by urgent calls or questions. Balancing responsiveness with self-care is critical in your fast-paced environment.


2:00 PM- You conduct quality checks on order accuracy and packaging standards, addressing any deviations immediately. Maintaining high quality reduces returns and enhances customer satisfaction.
