Role Summary
The VP or Director of Safety & Compliance ensures all operations meet regulatory standards and internal policies to protect employees, assets, and the environment. You develop and enforce safety programs, manage audits, and drive a culture of compliance. Your role is essential in minimizing risk and maintaining operational integrity in complex logistics and transportation environments.
Required Education, Certifications, and Experience
Education:
Bachelor’s in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.
Certifications such as CSP or CISM preferred.
Certifications:
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
- Certified Director of Safety (CDS – NATMI)
- OSHA 30-Hour General Industry Certification
- Certified Transportation Professional (CTP)
- Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP)
- Hazardous Materials Transportation Certification (49 CFR)
Experience:
10 plus years in safety and compliance leadership.
Proven success managing regulatory audits and investigations.
Experience implementing safety programs in logistics or transportation.
